One item in the main Windows 11 context menu, not buried under "Show more options". No window, no first run. Settings exist, in one small file, and the defaults are what most people would pick anyway.
Whatever the machine can play. Audio goes through Media Foundation, so the format list is Windows' rather than this program's: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AIFF, OGG, Opus and the rest, plus anything a codec pack adds.
Video files count too, because a video's soundtrack is audio. MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, WMV, WebM, TS and the others give you their audio track, AC-3 and 5.1 included.
Three cases worth naming, because they are the ones other converters drop:
MIDI is not supported. A .mid file is a score rather than audio, Media Foundation has no MIDI reader, and the synthesiser Windows plays them with has no offline render path that does not go through an undocumented interface. It is the one thing that plays on the box and does not convert.
